Henry Cavill Is The Perfect New James Bond Actor In 007 AI Art

New AI art imagines The Witcher star Henry Cavill as the next James Bond, with Daniel Craig’s time as the 007 agent have come to an end.

New AI art imagines Superman and The Witcher star Henry Cavill as the next James Bond, now that Daniel Craig’s time as the 007 agent has officially come to an end. One of fiction’s most beloved and long-lasting figures in pop culture is James Bond, the British Secret Service agent who was created by Ian Fleming in 1953. Like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, the MCU, and many other beloved franchises, James Bond holds the title as one of the oldest and longest-running film franchises of all time. Similar to someone like Batman, only a handful of actors have been able to take on the role in various James Bond movies spanning several decades.

    SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The last actor to carry the James Bond mantle was Craig, who began his run in 2006 with Casino Royale. The British star went on to star in 4 additional installments, with Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre, before his tenure ended with 2021’s No Time to Die. While Craig won the role for the 2006 film, James Bond was almost played by a then-unknown Cavill, almost 5 years prior to him being cast as Superman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. On several occasions, he has talked about losing out to Craig for Casino Royale in 2005, with the reason being that Cavill was too young to play James Bond, according to the movie’s creative team.

Now that Craig is finished playing James Bond, the title is up for grabs, as the studio behind the franchise is looking to cast the next 007 for Bond 26. Cavill’s name continues to be brought up, but also gets depicted through artwork that makes a strong case for the actor to take on the role. Now, new art made with the Dall-E technology generated what Cavill would look like as the iconic 007 agent. Check it out below:

While James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has said that Bond 26 won’t be filmed for another 2 years and the actor who will take on the role has yet to be found. Cavill is still willing to play James Bond and take over for Craig despite not landing the gig almost 20 years ago and it could be the perfect time for him to do so. Cavill has made a name for himself in Hollywood since initially losing out on the role, becoming the most recent cinematic iteration of Superman in 2013 before reprising the role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Currently, Cavill can be seen on Netflix’s The Witcher, starring as Geralt of Rivia, in what has become one of the platform’s most successful series of all time.

At this point, given that Cavill’s name keeps being brought up for James Bond, it would be a genuine shocker if the producers don’t at least consider him as the new 007. Since his age was a concern back then, Cavill is almost 40 – despite looking younger than that – and has gained more experience throughout his later work, including Enola Holmes and Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Despite having a lot of gigs lined up already, if everything were to come together, perhaps Cavill will finally get his shot at playing James Bond within the next few years.
