Bump in the Night is a brand new Rocket Launcher in Destiny 2 that is part of the Haunted weapon set in Season 17. There are a couple of things that stand out about Bump in the Night, specifically that it is an Aggressive Frame Rocket Launcher and it deals Stasis damage. Aggressive Frames have the highest damage output of weapons in the game, but they never have a tracking rocket inherently built into the frame. Nonetheless, Bump in the Night has some fantastic perk options for major boss damage in PvE activities.
Another feature of Bump in the Night is that it’s one of the weapons players can craft in Destiny 2. Once five Deepsight Resonance variations of the weapon have been completed, players can use crafting materials at the Enclave on Mars to create their very own Bump in the Night. Additionally, leveling up the weapon will allow them to unlock enhanced variations of perks, which apply to the combinations listed below. Fortunately, both the standard and Deepsight variations of Bump in the Night can be earned from the same sources.
Bump in the Night can be obtained by completing the Sever and Nightmare Containment Tier III activities aboard the Derelict Leviathan, though it’s just as likely players will end up getting one of the other Haunted or Opulent weapons instead. Thankfully, Umbral Engrams can be focused into the Rocket Launcher through the Crown of Sorrow in the H.E.L.M. once players have the appropriate upgrades. Lastly, players can find Opulent Keys in Destiny 2 to open up Calus’s chests around the Derelict Leviathan to earn Bump in the Night as well.
The Best Perks For Bump In The Night In Destiny 2: Season Of The Haunted
Rocket Launchers have far fewer options than most weapons when it comes to their barrel and magazine perks, but there are still some great ones that players should look for on their Bump in the Night. For the barrel, players should look for or craft a Bump in the Night with either Volatile Launch or Quick Launch, but Confined Launch is a solid choice for PvP. Really any of the available magazine perks are fine for PvE, but to get a Rocket Launcher that is great for both types of activities players should look for Black Powder, High-Velocity Rounds, or Impact Casing. All of the third and fourth perk combinations are perfect for endgame activities throughout Destiny 2: Season of the Haunted.
