Kevin Hart Names His Pick for Worst Dwayne Johnson Movie

Kevin Hart Names His Pick for Worst Dwayne Johnson Movie

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart name-drops his pick for the worst movie starring his DC League of Super-Pets co-star Dwayne Johnson’s filmography.

Actor Kevin Hart gives his pick for the worst movie starring his DC League of Super-Pets co-star Dwayne Johnson. Both Hart and Johnson have starred in a number of features together, beginning with the 2016 action/comedy Central Intelligence. Since then, the duo has starred together in the rebooted Jumanji franchise, as well as Hart having a guest appearance in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Currently, the actors are appearing in the animated DC League of Super-Pets, with Johnson voicing the part of Krypto and Hart voicing the part of Ace.

Both Hart and Johnson have had varied careers, both starting at ground level in their respective trades and working up to their current level of superstardom. Hart began as a stand-up comedian, while Johnson began as a WWE wrestler, but both of them graduated into acting, starting with smaller roles before experimenting with larger ones as doors began to open up. Some of Hart’s early credits include Little Fockers, The Five-Year Engagement, and Ride Along, while Johnson made a name for himself with films like The Mummy Returns, The Rundown, and Be Cool.

Not all of Hart and Johnson’s early work was their best, and while opinions vary on what is considered their worst work, Hart has made it clear which project he thinks is Johnson’s worst. While on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Hart was quick to name-drop Tooth Fairy as Johnson’s biggest dud, while offering no larger explanation for the choice. Cohen notes how quickly Hart named the film as Johnson’s worst, with Hart only laughing and agreeing with his choice.

Tooth Fairy is a 2010 comedy that stars Johnson as a hockey player who is given the unusual sentence of being a real-life tooth fairy for one week. Co-starring Mary Poppins and Aquaman‘s Julie Andrews and Ashley Judd, Tooth Fairy did decent box office, but was shredded by critics, currently sitting at 17% on Rotten Tomatoes. A 2012 sequel was made starring Larry the Cable Guy, which didn’t fare much better for the would-be franchise, effectively ending it before it could go any further.

Some movies seem easier to pick on than others when it comes to certain stars, especially when reaching back into their early filmography. Johnson had a number of not-so-great early entries, but they weren’t all silly comedies, as some of his action/sci-fi films at the beginning of his career aren’t exactly regarded as classics either. Hart and Johnson have since graduated into the A-list and can now make better choices for their careers. The duo is currently appearing in DC League of Super-Pets, which is faring well with reviews. Johnson is preparing to drop his live-action superhero debut Black Adam in October, while Hart will release Me Time, his Netflix comedy co-starring Mark Wahlberg, this August.
