Miles Morales Player Finds Hilarious Way To End Car Chases

Miles Morales Player Finds Hilarious Way To End Car Chases

One Spider-Man: Miles Morales player ends a car chase early by simply landing on the hood of the speeding vehicle and waiting for the enemy to park.

Crime never quits in the city of New York, but one Spider-Man: Miles Morales player recently discovered how to end a car chase early by causing the criminal driver to give up. Both of Insomniac’s open-world Marvel’s Spider-Man games allow players to explore the Big Apple and uncover plenty of secret Easter Eggs and hidden collectibles, as well as take down random street crimes between missions.

Fans have shared plenty of fun gameplay videos featuring Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they roam the open-world setting of the Marvel’s Spider-Man games, uncovering all kinds of strange glitches and handy gameplay tricks in the process. These clips include Peter accidentally taking a trip to Doctor Strange’s Mirror Dimension from the MCU films, witnessing Peter’s one-time love interest Black Cat running in circles during a chase, and Peter suffering an unfortunate encounter with a train mere moments after completing one of Marvel’s Spider-Man’s pigeon-chasing missions. Miles has also gotten in on the hijinks in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, as his signature black-and-red Spider-Man costume is known to occasionally turn white. Additionally, he has transformed numerous everyday objects including cars and street lamps.

Miles might have a valid reason for not taking minor car chases seriously in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, as it turns out the driver of the stolen car will simply abandon their escape attempt after Spidey lands on the hood. Reddit user senjulegos uncovered this trick during a regular session of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, sharing a brief gameplay clip on r/SpidermanPS4. In this video, Miles lands on a speeding car during a chase sequence in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but instead of speeding up or trying to take the hero out, the driver simply slows to a stop as Miles yanks him out of the car. While this is most likely the result of a programming glitch, many Reddit users have joked that the criminal in question didn’t want Spidey to ruin his car, playfully noting even the criminals of New York City are being affected by rising gas prices, and commending the driver for minding the law and parking curbside.

Fans will get even more opportunities to spot and record strange enemy encounters like this in Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, as Sony recently revealed both games are coming to PC after years of being exclusive to PlayStation. While this decision contradicts previous claims by Insomniac that its critically-acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man games would only be on Sony consoles, players are welcoming the chance to dive into the open-world adventures of Peter and Miles on a new platform – especially since it opens the door for new Marvel’s Spider-Man mods.

In the meantime, it seems that Miles Morales’s growing reputation as a hero is starting to proceed him, with criminals apparently deciding to stop their escape attempts rather than delay the inevitable defeat at the hands of the web-slinger. Finding new secrets and glitches is part of the fun of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and this will likely continue to be the case when the next game in the series swings onto the PS5 sometime next year.
