Red Dead Redemption 2 is rapidly coming up on a decade since its original release, with 2018 feeling like a very long time ago indeed right now. That said, it holds up just as well today as it did then, and plenty of players return with each passing day to ride their horses and put a few rounds into some rowdy townsfolk.
Many of those who still go back to the game have already seen everything the single-player has to offer, and it’s the multiplayer modes that often hold the most joy right now. Happily, Rockstar are quite diligent about bringing players new stuff to do, even with the impending release of GTA VI, and the latest of those is about to go live with a bunch of cool additional rewards for players to get ahold of.
As first reported by Rockstar Intel, the next Red Dead Online event month has now arrived, with Horse Race Bonuses taking center stage this time around. The list of monthly rewards this time around are as follows:
- Simply logging in as a Naturalist grants the black Rushword Shirt (Quick Draw Club 1)
- Complete an Animal Sighting Mission to get the Chicken Emote (Outlaw Pass 1)
- Hunt a Legendary Animal for the brown Clairborn Coat (Outlaw Pass 1)
- Finishing top 3 in a race gives the Ruby Buckle (Outlaw Pass 2)
- Completing one round of Wildlife Photography grants access to the blue Guerra Poncho (Outlaw Pass 4)
The first Weekly reward also runs from May 5–May 11, with two Gold Bars on offer to everyone who manages to get a win in the Featured Series. As well as all that, the following additional bonuses are available for those participating in featured activities:
- 4X RDO$, Gold and XP on Featured Series Races
- 4X RDO$ and XP on Wildlife Photography Free Roam Event
- 4X RDO$ and XP on Wild Animals Kills Challenge
- 3X RDO$, Role XP, and XP on Sample Sales
- 3X RDO$ and XP on Featured Series
May 5-May 11 is also the first week of the Featured Series calendar, with the Race Series taking center stage at the first juncture.
This latest month seems to be quite a bumper one for the multiplayer portions of Red Dead Redemption 2, and there are some weekly refreshes you’ll want to keep an eye on over the course of the month.
