How Common is Plastic Surgery Really?

How Common is Plastic Surgery Really?

Are you looking into having plastic surgery?

According to a recent survey, 1.4 million Americans choose to undergo plastic surgery. Americans don’t just have the most cosmetic procedures, but they also have the most plastic surgeons.

If you’re wondering how common is plastic surgery, we can help you give the right information you need. Read on to learn more about the popularity of plastic surgery in our society.

    Botox Injections

Plastic surgery is becoming increasingly common as people strive to perfect their appearance. Injectable Botox® fillers are one of the most popular plastic surgery with over 7 million people opting for this treatment each year.

While Botox is often associated with celebrities and the rich and famous, the reality is that it is becoming increasingly accessible and affordable for ordinary people.

With more and more people turning to Botox to achieve a youthful appearance, it is clear that this type of surgery is no longer the preserve of the wealthy.

    Facelifts

There is no denying that plastic surgery is becoming more and more popular, with more and more people opting for procedures to improve their appearance. However, despite its growing popularity, it is still relatively uncommon for people to opt for facelifts.

This is likely because facelifts are more invasive than other types of plastic surgery and require a more extensive recovery period.

As a result, they are typically chosen by people who are unhappy with the way they look, and are willing to undergo a more invasive procedure to achieve their desired results.

They can perform it on both men and women but is more commonly performed on women. The procedure is common to all ages but is most often performed on people over the age of 40.

    Nose Jobs

Nose jobs, or rhinoplasty, are one of the most common plastic surgery procedures. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, there were over 218,000 nose jobs performed in the US in 2014.

While plastic surgery is still somewhat taboo in society, it is becoming more and more accepted. With the rising popularity of social media, people are more exposed to the idea of plastic surgery and are becoming more comfortable with the idea of altering their appearance.

The statistics show that 46 percent of people opt for a nose job ages 13 to 20. So, while they are becoming more popular, they are still not as common as other types of plastic surgery.

    Liposuction

Liposuction is a type of plastic surgery that removes fat from the body. It is a common procedure, with 491,098 procedures performed in the United States each year.

It’s performed on any area of the body where there is excess fat but is most commonly performed on the abdomen, thighs, and arms.

They typically perform the procedure under local anesthesia, with the patient awake and able to talk during the process. So, while you may not know anyone who has had liposuction, it is quite common.

    Tummy Tucks

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, there were nearly 128,000 tummy tucks performed in the United States in 2016 alone. This number has been steadily rising in recent years, as more and more people elect to have this surgery.

There are many reasons why someone might choose to have a tummy tuck, ranging from wanting to improve their appearance to wanting to regain confidence. Whatever the reason, it’s clear that plastic surgery is becoming increasingly popular.

    Eyelid Surgery

This surgery can be done for cosmetic reasons, to improve vision, or to correct a deformity. It is usually a relatively quick and easy procedure with minimal recovery time.

Even though it is the most popular type of cosmetic surgery, only a few people have had it done. The rest of the population either cannot afford it, are not interested, or does not think that they need it.

    Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is one of the most popular and commonly requested cosmetic procedures. A growing number of men and women are seeking laser hair removal.

This is to achieve the smooth, sleek look that was previously only attainable with hair removal creams, razors, and waxes.

At the same time, the number of laser hair removal providers has increased, making it easier and more convenient than ever to find a reputable provider near you.

    Breast Augmentation

The vast majority of breast augmentation clients are quite happy with their results. It’s estimated that about 1 in every 20 women in the U.S. has had breast augmentation surgery.

This means that breast augmentation is quite common, especially among women in their 20s and 30s.

Many women who undergo breast augmentation do so because they are unhappy with their natural breast size or shape. Others have the procedure because they want to correct asymmetry or discrepancies between their two breasts. Some women also opt for breast augmentation after mastectomy or lumpectomy surgery.

The idea of How Common Is Plastic Surgery

How Common Is Plastic Surgery? Plastic surgery is becoming increasingly popular, but it is still not as common as people think. It always depends on what kind of surgery they choose.

But on the other hand, plastic surgery is common like breast augmentation, botox, laser hair removal, eyelid surgery, tummy tucks, liposuction, nose job, and facelifts.

As it fills the needs of each patient. So, choose a surgery procedure that you think will give a confidence boost.
