Beyoncé reportedly lowers prices for ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour with thousands of tickets available for first show

Beyoncé reportedly lowers prices for ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour with thousands of tickets available for first show

Ticket prices for Beyoncé‘s upcoming ‘Cowboy Carter‘ world tour have reportedly been reduced in some cities following low sales.

The pop star announced the huge run of US gigs in February, before going on to add further dates in the States, the UK and France in the following days.

Certain cities have seen a huge demand for tickets, such as Las Vegas, where two additional shows were added to meet the immense public appetite. However, it seems that not every stop on the tour has been so popular.

A new report from the Independent has revealed that the opening night on April 28 in Los Angeles still has over 3,200 unsold seats, while the final two nights in the city have over 3,800 standard tickets still available for each show.

Standard tickets for the first show are available from $85, while resale tickets have dropped to as low as $35.

According to the publication, the trend continues for much of the US leg, with nearly 6,000 tickets still available for an Atlanta show on July 14 – including 50 per cent of floor seats – and over 5,500 tickets unsold for the tour’s last night in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, the closest venue to New York City.

Live Nation have previously denied reports that Beyoncé is having trouble selling tickets. Last month, in a statement to Billboard, the events company claimed that 94% of tickets for the tour have been sold.

For the UK leg, tickets are reportedly selling at a higher rate – though they haven’t eclipsed the success of 2023’s ‘Renaissance’ tour. This year, Bey is set to perform six consecutive shows at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, which appears almost sold out.

The ‘Cuff It’ singer isn’t the first big artist to struggle to fill venues lately. Last month, Linkin Park announced that they were downsizing their scheduled Dodgers Stadium show in Los Angeles to an indoor arena with a smaller capacity, while also reducing ticket prices for certain shows.

The tour is in support of her country-inspired, Grammy-winning latest album, which she released last March. NME awarded the album five stars, noting: “Even if interpreted only on the grounds of artistic spectacle, it’s an undeniable thrill to see [Beyoncé] swing so big on a project that dares her to be so intimate and vocal-focused, while making way for country’s up-and-comers too.”

The announcement of the UK dates at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has had the unexpected consequence of the Rugby Football Union (RFU) threatening to leave Twickenham Stadium. Chief executive Bill Sweeney alleged that licencing restrictions caused them to miss out on hosting a show on the tour.

Beyoncé last hit the road in 2023 in support of her previous studio album, ‘Renaissance’. It was one of the highest-grossing tours of all time, taking in a reported $579million (£455.7million) in revenue.

Earlier this year, Beyoncé finally won the coveted Album Of The Year award at the Grammys 2025 with ‘Cowboy Carter’. With a total of 99 nods, the singer is now the most nominated artist in Grammy history. She also holds the record for most Grammy wins, now with 35. Additionally, she is the first Black woman to have won the Best Country Album prize.
