Harry Styles has released his new album, Harry’s House. The follow-up to 2019’s Fine Line spans 13 tracks and includes contributions from Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange), John Mayer, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Pino Palladino, as well as longtime Styles collaborators Kid Harpoon, Tyler Johnson, and Mitch Rowland. Additionally, the song “Daydreaming” samples “Ain’t We Funkin’ Now,” the 1978 track by the Brothers Johnson that was written by Quincy Jones, Tom Bahler, Louis Johnson, Valerie Riffe and Alex Weir. Harry’s House was announced back in March, and includes the lone single “As It Was.” The track received a colorful, choreographed music video days later. The striking visual—featuring Styles dancing on a rotating disc in a sparkly red jumpsuit—was directed by Ukrainian filmmaker Tanu Muino.
Harry’s House is the third solo record from the former One Direction singer. His self-titled debut arrived in 2017, two years after the wildly popular UK boy band called it quits. After headlining two weekends at Coachella 2022, Styles will kick off his tour behind the new album this month. Opening for Styles at the Los Angeles shows on the tour is Ben Harper, who plays guitar on the new album’s “Boyfriends.”
