Rihanna’s Home Targeted in Shooting, Woman Arrested [Updated]

A 30-year-old woman was taken into custody after allegedly firing multiple shots from her vehicle toward Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home on Sunday afternoon, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Police say the woman, identified as Ivanna Ortiz, fired 10 shots using an AR-15-style rifle towards Rihanna’s home, with one round penetrating the wall. Ortiz fled the scene, but was apprehended a short time later at a nearby shopping center. She was charged with attempted murder and is behind held on $10 million bond.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation, but Ortiz had allegedly posted about Rihanna and other prominent celebrities on social media in recent weeks.

Rihanna and her family were home at the time of the shooting; fortunately no one was harmed.
