Evanescence‘s Amy Lee joined Korn for a collaborative rendition of ‘Freak On A Leash’ during a special show in Los Angeles recently. Watch the footage below.
The US nu-metal band played a 20-song set at LA’s BMO Stadium last Saturday (October 5) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their 1994 self-titled debut album. Evanescence opened the gig along with Gojira, Scars On Broadway, Spiritbox and more.
To close out the evening, Korn invited Evanescence frontwoman Lee to sing on their biggest track ‘Freak On A Leash’ – which appears on the group’s third studio record, 1998’s ‘Follow The Leader’.
Lee appeared towards the end of the first verse, and duetted with frontman Jonathan Davis. Tune in here:
Korn are currently out on a North American headline tour with Gojira and Spiritbox. Their next show is scheduled for tonight (October 8) in Portland, Oregon ahead of further stops in Tacoma, Nampa, Denver, Houston and other cities throughout the month.
Korn will then head to Australia for a run of shows in December. Over the summer, Korn played their biggest UK show to date at Gunnersbury Park in London.
New material from Korn had previously been promised for 2024. “Yeah, new music coming out next year,” guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch explained in 2023. “I don’t know, we’re just kind of in hiding right now, just doing our own thing.”
The band’s 14th and most recent studio album, ‘Requiem’, arrived in early 2022. Around the time of its release, Davis revealed they had already begun working on its follow-up.
Earlier on their current tour, Korn played deep cut ‘Hey Daddy’ live for the first time in 25 years.
