A 44-year-old family physician from Saskatchewan ‘died unexpectedly’ last weekend, July 23.

According to an announcement released by Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), Dr. Shahriar Jalali Mazlouman, a Melville family physician, unexpectedly passed away.

The hospital provided no information regarding the cause of death.

According to various reports, Mazlouman was found dead at a local swimming pool in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan on Saturday.

“RCMP were called to the D.A. Mackenzie Aquatic Center around 1:30 p.m. and found the man unresponsive in the pool. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS,” CTV News reported.

“The RCMP said his family has been notified. The cause of death is still under investigation by the Saskatchewan Coroners Service,” the outlet added.

The SHA & Emmanuel Health are remembering Dr Shahriar Jalali Mazlouman, a Melville family physician who unexpectedly passed away on July 23. Sincere condolences to Dr. Mazlouman’s family, colleagues & friends in #Melville, #Yorkton & #Ituna. https://t.co/PmxWOKjym0

“The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Emmanuel Health are mourning the loss of Dr. Shahriar Jalali Mazlouman, a family physician from Melville who unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, July 23,” Saskatchewan Health Authority said in a statement.

“The SHA and Emmanuel Health would like to take this opportunity to express sincere condolences to Dr. Mazlouman’s family, physician colleagues and friends, and all of the staff members he has worked with in Melville, Yorkton and Ituna,” SHA said in the news release.

“On behalf of the SHA , I would like to express our profound sadness at the passing of our friend and colleague,” stated Dr. Johann Roodt, Interim Physician Executive, Integrated Rural Health. “Dr. Mazlouman was dedicated and caring, top of his class, intelligent, hard-working, and a passionate physician. There are not enough words to describe this incredible young man. His sudden passing is deeply felt by all who knew him and the communities he served in. His memory will be forever etched in our hearts and minds. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences to the friends, family, and colleagues of Dr. Mazlouman and the communities of Melville, Yorkton, and Ituna.”

Read the rest of the news release here and below:

Dr. Mazlouman has been practicing as a family physician at the Melville Medical Clinic since July 2021. He completed his Saskatchewan International Physician Practice Assessment (SIPPA) placement in Yorkton and continued to provide ER coverage at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre emergency room as well as providing physician services in Ituna one day per week.

As the result of Dr. Mazlouman’s passing, some health-care services in Melville may be in a temporary disruption. Dr. Mazlouman’s patients can expect notification about the cancellation and rescheduling of appointments over the coming weeks.

In addition, emergency room services at St. Peter’s Hospital in Melville may be periodically in temporary disruption over the coming weeks as the SHA works to reschedule coverage. Dr. Mazlouman’s physician colleagues and the SHA will work together to meet the needs of his patients.

The patience and understanding of Dr. Mazlouman’s patients and the residents of Melville and the surrounding area is sincerely appreciated as we work through this difficult time.

Within the past two weeks, Canada has received news of six deaths of physicians, the most recent being that of Dr. Candace Nayman.

All five doctors were based in the Greater Toronto Area, with three practicing at the same hospital. Dr. Mazlouman is from Saskatchewan, which is 1,976 miles total driving distance from Toronto.

    Name and date of death:

    • Dr. Paul Hannam, July 16
    • Dr. Lorne Segall, July 17
    • Dr. Stephen McKenzie, July 18
    • Dr. Jakub Sawicki, July 19
    • Dr. Shariar Jalali Mazlouman, July 23
    • Dr. Candace Nayman, July 28

The Gateway Pundit was the first to report that Dr. Paul Hannam, the Chief of Emergency Medicine and Program Medical Director at North York General Hospital (NYGH), died unexpectedly while out for a run.

NYGH claimed that the tragic death of Dr. Paul Hannam was “not related to COVID-19 or vaccinations of any kind”, according to Toronto Sun.

Chief Medical Strategy Officer at Mount Sinai Hospital, Howard Ovens, announced the passing of Dr. Hannam via Twitter.

“Canadian Emergency Medicine is in mourning tonight,” Ovens wrote. “Paul Hannam, Olympic sailor, marathon runner, family man, ED director ⁦at NYGH, a sweet, thoughtful, compassionate and gentle man died suddenly today on a run. The quintessential mensch. Hug someone you love.”

On Thursday, The Gateway Pundit reported the deaths of three physicians at Canada’s Trillium Health Partners-Mississauga Hospital who died unexpectedly in the same week.

The three physicians who died the same week after Dr. Hannam were Dr. Lorne Segall (July 17), Dr. Stephen McKenzie (July 18), and Dr. Jakub Sawicki (July 21). According to the nurse who leaked the memo, the three doctors reportedly died after the hospital started mandating the fourth Covid shot for their employees.

Trillium Health Partners finally released a statement and confirmed the deaths of the three physicians.

“It is with deep sadness that THP mourns the loss of three of our physicians who recently passed away,” the hospital announced on Twitter.

“Dr. Jakub Sawicki, Dr. Stephen McKenzie, and Dr. Lorne Segall were respected physicians who dedicated their lives to caring for their patients and community,” the post added.

The hospital claimed that the social media rumor that their deaths were related to the COVID-19 vaccination is “simply not true.”

It was reported that both Dr. Segall and Dr. Sawicki have been fighting cancer for a long time.

On Friday, The Gateway Pundit reported that a 27-year-old triathlete and resident doctor at McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, collapsed while swimming. On Thursday, four days after the incident, she passed away.

“Dr. Candace Nayman was a Year 3 Pediatrics Resident at McMaster Children’s Hospital who tragically passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022,” the obituary read. “Candace was a beloved sister and daughter, a friend and confidant, a mentor and guide, an athlete and coach, and an inspiration to many.”
