The left is not having a good day.

The Supreme Court finally ruled on the case about presidential immunity – confirming that the President does largely have immunity for official acts of the presidency, but not for unofficial acts.

The ruling comes amid Special Counsel Jack Smith’s case against Trump for so-called “election interference.”

In other words, it’s a good day for Trump, and a really bad day for Democrats, who are taking the news very hard.

Especially far-left socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

    AOC: Impeach Supreme Court Justices

If you were expecting a deluge of anger and violent fantasies, you correctly guessed the left’s reaction.

AOC, in particular, has had enough and wants to impeach Supreme Court Justices:

The Supreme Court has become consumed by a corruption crisis beyond its control.

Today’s ruling represents an assault on American democracy. It is up to Congress to defend our nation from this authoritarian capture.

I intend on filing articles of impeachment upon our return.

    — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 1, 2024

Now, I do want to give some kudos to AOC here – she correctly points out that the correct avenue for her mission is Congress.

As the Supreme Court reiterated last week in Chevron, and as the Constitution clearly states, Congress and only Congress is authorized to make law. Not judges. Not unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats. Only Congress. So strong start for AOC. Most of her colleagues wouldn’t do so.

But the rest is gobbledegook. Yes, Supreme Court Justices can be impeached. The Constitution gives them lifetime appointments but only for “good Behavior.”

Now let’s be honest – that is probably the most subjective clause in the Constitution, and definitely the lowest bar for legal action – in this case, impeachment.

But this is just a tantrum. Democrats love presidential immunity – in fact they’re arguing for executive immunity as we speak in defending Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas from his impeachment charges.

And believe it or not – the tantrums on the left are much worse than AOC’s impeachment calls.

In the wake of the decision, numerous Democrats seemed to openly fantasize about President Biden using immunity to go after his political opponents.

    Yeah – I know. I know.

Take a look at some of these comments.

Democrat superlawyer Marc Elias’ first thought was immediately assassination.

How bad was today’s Supreme Court decision?

If reelected Trump could assassinate his political opponents as long as he cited a statute or constitutional provision for doing so.

    We are in real danger.

    — Marc E. Elias (@marceelias) July 1, 2024

Numerous other leftwing commentators fantasized about Biden blowing up Supreme Court Justice’s houses with missiles.

Remember, these are the people who incessantly harp about “democracy.”

The ink on the Supreme Court immunity decision isn’t even dry, and the Left is already fantasizing about Biden dropping bombs on the Supreme Court and killing Trump to prevent him from winning the election and becoming president. pic.twitter.com/M687rMcNh4

But I wouldn’t take AOC’s threat idly. Unlike Republicans, Democrats actually stick to their word when in power.
