Democrat Rep. Claims Black People’s ‘Lives Are In The Balance’ If GOP Wins Midterm Elections

Democrat Rep. Claims Black People’s ‘Lives Are In The Balance’ If GOP Wins Midterm Elections

Jamaal Bowman, far-left Democrat Representative from New York, claimed that black and brown “lives are in the balance” and implied that a civil war could be afoot if Republicans win the midterm elections.

Bowman, a newcomer to the ‘Squad,’ a far-left group of lawmakers who frequently try to outdo each other with alarming and unhinged rhetoric, made the comments during an appearance with MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross on Saturday.

Cross asked the congressman what might happen to the House select committee investigation of the Capitol riot if the expected red wave takes place in the upcoming elections.

“The January 6 Commission would cease to exist. The findings will be completely suppressed and will not be admitted into any further investigations while the GOP will be in power,” Bowman replied.

But that was just least of it, according to Bowman.

Jamaal Bowman: Black Lives ‘In The Balance’

Jamaal Bowman went on to state that Biden would be impeached as soon as possible if Republicans capture both houses of Congress.

“They will impeach President [Joe] Biden as quickly as possible, and they will continue to find ways to impeach him going forward,” he told MSNBC viewers.

Hmm … the anti-Trump sham committee will be abolished and Biden will be impeached? Who wouldn’t take that? So far, so good.

But the Democrat quickly pivoted to hyperbole and racially charged commentary, saying black lives are “in the balance” if the GOP wins.

“It would also embolden Republicans and the far-right, and white nationalists across the country to begin to believe that it is their time to not just take power in the House, but the Senate, the White House, and state houses across the country,” he told Cross.

“They have been pushing for violence and pushing for even civil war,” Bowman insisted. “So that is what is at stake right now in terms of this election.”

“Our democracy is hanging by a thread, and Black and Brown people, our lives are in the balance if these people come back into power.”

Rep Jamaal Bowman D-NY claims on @MSNBC with Tiffany Cross that GOP gaining power at the midterms would embolden right wing extremists who want a civil war to take over the government.

I cannot think of a more absurd comment than that. Bowman wins the dumb statement award.

    Headed For Civil War?

Jamaal Bowman’s over-the-top diatribe would hold more weight if he didn’t also like to insinuate people in his own party are racists as well.

Bowman accused Senator Joe Manchin “as a white man” of “showing that he doesn’t care about black people, he doesn’t care about Latinos,” and “he doesn’t care about immigrants,” amongst others, for killing the multi-trillion-dollar Build Back Better bill.

Bowman also insinuated fellow Democrat Senator Kirsten Synema (D-AZ) was a “traitor” to “our democracy” for defending what his party fondly refers to as the “Jim Crow filibuster.”

Hero: a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.

Traitor: a person who betrays a friend, country, principle, etc.

John Lewis is a hero, you are a traitor to his legacy, your constituents and our democracy. https://t.co/bS8PW6QwcB

As for the civil war magniloquence, a fairly recent poll shows significant support for states to secede from the union – along both red and blue lines.

A lot of extremists support their states seceding from the Union. Shockingly, so do a lot of non-extremists https://t.co/1a4UyFPC3j

    — Bloomberg Opinion (@opinion) December 3, 2021

A collaborative effort by the UVA Center for Politics and Project Home Fire just this past September indicates that 52% of Trump voters lean towards secession as a solution to the political differences currently gripping the country.

41% of Joe Biden voters adopt the same stance regarding blue states.

So much for Uncle Joe unifying the country — 52% of Trump voters want red states to secede from the union https://t.co/AjJdPyHnrg via @MailOnline

Bowman can point the finger at the other party all he wants, but when Democrats have spent decades calling their political opponents’ racists, misogynists, and bigots, it’s proof that they’re the ones causing a great rift in America today.
