First Public Congressional UFO Hearing In 50 years Reveals Pentagon Not Interested In Transparency

Earlier this week, Congress held the first open UFO hearing in 50 years. Among those who pay attention to such things, there were mixed feelings of excitement and trying not to get hopes up.

For those who don’t pay much attention to such things, the potential implications are still enormous. Planetary, or even galactic in nature.

So what did we learn? Much like what we already knew, some things can’t be explained – and the Pentagon is either not interested in finding out or not planning to tell us what they know.

    ????????U.S.A. Chad Pergram, FOX News

“Tuesday’s hearing didn’t quite get all the way to the “truth” to satisfy everyone. But it did get UFOs and UAPs back on the agenda on Capitol Hill.”

What Was The Goal of the Hearing?

Representative Andre Carson opened the hearing by laying out his areas of interest: What are the obstacles to getting the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG) operational?

How is the Pentagon working to de-stigmatize unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) reporting?

Congress hasn’t held a public hearing on unidentified aerial phenomena (UFO’s) in over 50 years. That will change next week when I lead a hearing in @HouseIntel on this topic & the national security risk it poses. Americans need to know more about these unexplained occurrences.

Others included Representative Rick Crawford’s concerns over possible Intelligence Community failures and Representative Adam Schiff’s interest in eliminating excess secrecy.

The two witnesses who came to testify were Ronald S. Moultrie, Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security, and Scott W. Bray, Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence.

Their goals were to convince Congress that they are ‘fully committed to transparency.’ It’s an ‘all hands on deck’ approach, and The Honorable Ronald Moultrie is a not-so undercover science/science fiction convention nerd.

Representative Gallagher Hits BOSS Status on #ufotwitter

Representative Gallagher of Wisconsin garnered some hat tips from the #ufotwitter community.

Most notably in the Twittersphere were his questions about the famed 1967 Malmstrom Air Force Base incident when ten ICBMs were rendered inoperable for inexplicable reasons.

A lot to unpack from the UFO hearing. This congressman has done his homework, asking about the Malmstrom incursion involving disabled nukes (DOD seemed strangely clueless about it.) https://t.co/5GeD06urEU

    — George Knapp (@g_knapp) May 17, 2022

There was speculation that it had to do with an alleged UFO sighting at the same time in the location of an orange orb. However, when pressed by Mr. Gallagher, the witnesses claimed they hadn’t looked into the event and were unaware of it.

It seems odd given that in 2001 the Air Force released documents regarding the event in response to a FOIA request.

Doesn’t really seem like the UAP Task Force is dialed into the other services.

Dedicated to Transparency… Until They Aren’t

Representative Gallagher also pressed Mr. Moultrie and Mr. Bray on their awareness of any other initiatives pre-dating Project BLUE BOOK or between Project BLUE BOOK and Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) investigating UAPs.

The answer was that they weren’t aware of anything. He pressed two more times with the same general answers. Mr. Bray’s final answer is below:

“Once again, I’ll say no contractual or programmatic efforts that are involved. The reason why I qualified, yeah, let me qualify it that way. I can’t speak to what people may be looking at in the department. Somebody says I’m looking at something that may be identified, and I can’t speak to that, speak to official programs that we have on the record.”

That’s some pretty fancy tap dancing. I heard, “Look, I know that you know that we have looked into UAPs since BLUE BOOK, but since we didn’t classify them as anything official, I’m going to keep not telling you about it.”

Or maybe it’s more like, “Look; clearly, you know something I don’t, Congressman; please just stop asking me about this issue.”

Mr. Moultrie and Mr. Bray were adamant in their attempts to convince Congress this week that they are taking their charge from the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) seriously. Mr. Bray went so far as to say that it’s an “all hands on deck” approach.

Given that only two people are assigned to this program, that means four hands are on deck. That doesn’t seem like a whole lot to me.

“The reality is, there are only two full-time people looking into this,” Gallagher said. “So, I have questions about whether they have the resources, or the access, necessary to get us closer to answering these questions.” #ufo #uaptwitter #ufohearing

However, Mr. Moultrie stated that they had finally picked a Director for the program. There is some speculation that this new Director is Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick. He currently is the Chief Scientist at the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC).

If that is true, it would be interesting. Moreover, it may allude to the Pentagon’s actual motivation regarding AOIMSG. The mission of MSIC is to ‘analyze, reverse engineer, and counter-air and space-related weapon systems of potential adversaries.’

Obviously, this would be major news for otherwordly vehicles.

Within the NDAA portion regarding AOIMSG, it states that the head AOIMSG, otherwise known as the Director, will:

“…supervise the development and execution of a science plan to develop and test, as practicable, scientific theories to – (1) account for characteristics and performance of unidentified aerial phenomena that exceed the known state of the art in science or technology, including in the areas of propulsion, aerodynamic control, signatures, structures, materials, sensors, countermeasures, weapons, electronics and power generations; and (2) provide the foundation for potential future investments to replicate any such advanced characteristics and performance.“

Time to start eyeing what stock options Congress likes in the next few years. Let’s see which defense contractors start getting larger awards and start hiring more ‘analysts’ and ‘specialists’.

    Bottom Line Up Front

This week’s hearing did not reveal that aliens have visited us and that the United States government or military-industrial complex has kept it from us.

It did reveal that the Pentagon and Intelligence Community are not interested in cooperating with Congress and more than likely have their own agenda.

That agenda could be hiding projects within the government that aren’t necessarily sanctioned by Congress or taxpayers.

Or it could just be the Pentagon and Intelligence Community don’t want us to know that they are incapable of doing their jobs adequately. I’d put even money on both.

Where Do We Go From Here?

This hearing probably did little to temper the theories and distrust among civilian organizations and those with an ‘amateur interest’ in UFOs.

I believe that Congress and the American people should continue to press those trusted with our safety and money to investigate and reveal what they learn about these UAPs.

It’s been reported that former defense officials have faced retribution for wanting to raise the red flag on what is going on around these programs. Therefore, finding a path for those with pertinent information to be released from non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) meant to muzzle them needs to be a priority.

I don’t buy the theory that E.T. has been interested in our nuclear capabilities. I’m more in the camp that says we may be testing our military capabilities using technology that isn’t public knowledge.

My husband keeps trying to sell me that what we think of as ‘aliens’ is really is us, but from the future, Time Benders as he hollers at me regularly from various parts of the house.

Representative Gallagher also delved into that topic, but on the Pat McAfee show.

    It’s definitely worth a watch:

Intriguing: The Congressman who asked some of the shrewdest Qs in the UAP hearing, @RepGallagher, suggests the time travel/inter dimensional future human hypothesis as an explanation for #UAPs. https://t.co/jAZx8PFmQC

It might be time for us to take a break from Ancient Aliens for awhile.
