Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was loudly heckled this week by New York residents who are fed up with the illegal immigrant crisis plaguing the city.
The congresswoman, a vocal advocate of sanctuary city policies, took part in a press conference with fellow Democrat lawmakers outside the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan.
AOC’s appearance comes amidst a growing illegal immigrant crisis which Mayor Eric Adams has repeatedly warned will “destroy New York City.”
It also comes just days after she dodged a question on why she hasn’t visited the southern border for dramatic photo ops to promote the humanitarian crisis that has grown exponentially under the Biden administration.
As such, Ocasio-Cortez stepped out into the public to finally speak about the problem. She probably regrets doing so.

Hecklers Drown Out AOC, Send Democrats Packing After Shouting Them Down Over Illegal Immigrant Crisis
Ocasio-Cortez began by introducing herself before speaking about the illegal immigrant invasion in New York City.
“My name is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I’m here alongside Representative Adriano Espaillat, and we’re incredibly thrilled and excited to be here,” she said.
The crowd was already growing restless and shouts immediately began drowning out her words.
She and Espaillat continue speaking, but it was near impossible to hear what was being said as shouts of “Close the border!” and “Respect the constitution AOC!” rained down.

Others can be heard yelling repeatedly, “Send them back!”

Ocasio-Cortez continued speaking about making sure the illegal aliens have “all the resources” necessary, but was continually met with pushback from a man with a megaphone.
“Illegal immigration is not right!” he shouts. “Respect the constitution, close the border!”

Daily Mail reported that Ocasio-Cortez and the Democrats “had to end (the) press conference early because they were drowned out.”

AOC Wants To Take In More Illegals
It’s safe to say not all New York residents agree with Ocasio-Cortez and her fellow Democrats’ policies of providing sanctuary to illegal immigrants.
This press conference was proof that they were fed up.
It was less than a year ago that Ocasio-Cortez made the wild claim that young people aren’t having children due to the “burdens of capitalism,” and as a result, we “need” more immigrants.
“We actually need immigrant populations to help balance things out,” she argued.

Around the same time, the Democrat “Squad” member was arguing that Texas Governor Greg Abbott was guilty of committing “crimes against humanity” by sending illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities.
It’s appalling that far-right politicians seem to have decided that fall before an election is their regularly scheduled time to commit crimes against humanity on refugees.

In 2021, Ocasio-Cortez urged illegal immigrants to apply for a child tax credit signed into law by President Joe Biden.
Ocasio-Cortez is definitely a big fan of the illegal immigrants ready to “destroy” NYC, as Mayor Eric Adams said.
But after getting heckled by people who don’t enjoy lawbreakers invading their city, we imagine she probably looks like this back at her office or apartment.

Representative Ocasio-Cortez recently told the New York Times that immigration is President Biden’s “weakest issue.”
“Immigration is arguably this administration’s weakest issue,” she said. “This is one area where our policy is dictated by politics, arguably more so than almost any other.”
But it’s almost a certainty that Ocasio-Cortez views it as such because, in her eyes, the borders aren’t open wide enough.
It’s pretty close though. Just last week, over 7,300 migrants crossed the border illegally, not including “gotaways” or those paroled into the country.
