Israel Ordered to Commit Suicide By Howard Bloom

Wednesday, July 30th, at a United Nations Conference in New York, the 29 nations of the Arab League signed on to “The New York Declaration”, a declaration calling for a two-state solution for the war in Gaza.

What’s a two state solution?  A solution that hands the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the territory of the settlements, the land the Israelis call Judea and Samaria, over to the Palestinian Authority.

This could kill the state of Israel.  I’ll explain how in a minute.

But first, buried in the New York Declaration were some surprising statements.  The Declaration calls for Hamas to “end its rule in Gaza and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority.” Yes, to turn its weapons over to the Palestinian Authority. Voluntarily.  Something Hamas will oppose down to its last bullet, rocket, and tunnel.

The New York Declaration condemns the Hamas attack of October 7, 2023, in which 3,800 Hamas fighters and 2,200 excited Gazan civilians invaded Israel, raped, tortured, mutilated, and burned alive 1,200 Israelis, and dragged 251 Israelis away as hostages.  Twenty of these hostages remain alive in Hamas captivity today.

The New York Declaration calls for the hostages’ release.  These are concessions of historical proportions from the Arab League.

But the Declaration’s real purpose is to call for a two state solution.  Again, what’s a two state solution?

A two-state solution amputates 21% of today’s Israel and gives it to the Arabs.  It returns Israel to the borders of 1967.

Here’s why a two state solution is suicide for Israel.

The traditional territory of Israel is the land possessed by the Jews of the Bible, the Holy Land.  Biblical Israel’s peak was three thousand years ago, from 1047 to 930 BC, before Christ. It was the land of King Saul, King David, and King Solomon. This nation was called Israel.

One thousand sixty five years later, when the Romans drove as many Jews as they could out of Israel, those Romans gave the Jewish land a new name to humiliate the Jews. Rather than naming it for its indigenous Jewish population, they named the province after the Jews’ arch enemy, the Philistines.

Yes, it was the Romans who renamed Israel Palestine.  To spite its natives—the Jews.

In 1920, the British started carving up the land of the Bible.  They took a 77% chunk of Palestine, gave it to an Arab king, and renamed it Transjordan.  Today we know it as Jordan. Forty percent of Jordan’s land had been ancient Israel.  And, yes, that huge chunk of Palestine, Jordon, is a Palestinian state.  A state carved out of Palestine.

That left a mere 23% of the ancient Jewish land of Israel to the territory’s Jews.  What’s worse, when the British were slicing up historically Jewish land, they forbade the Jews from entering any of the new Arab nations.  That’s apartheid.

In 1947, a mere two years after the end of World War II, the nations who had won the war continued carving the Middle East into arbitrary new nations.  Remember, only 23% of Israel’s ancient land remained to be divvied up.  In 1947, the United Nations passed Resolution 181, giving the Jews 55% of that tiny remaining slice.

Sounds very generous to the Jews, doesn’t it?  But fifty percent of what the Jews got was desert.

Even worse, the borders of the land Israel received were outrageous.  They were indefensible.  In the very middle, only nine miles separated the border with an enemy, Jordan, from the sea.  In other words, a simple artillery attack could cut have cut Israel in half.

That problem was solved in 1967, when the Arab armies of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria massed on Israel’s borders determined to drive the Jews into the sea.  They failed.

Instead Israel conquered another 45,000 square miles. Many of those square miles had been Israel’s ancient territory.

Now the New York Declaration wants to return Israel to its pre-1967 borders.  Why? To give the Arabs a state of their own. In 1964, those Arabs gave themselves a new name: Palestinians.

But guess what?  There already is a Palestinian state.  It’s called Jordon. A state carved out of what the Romans called Palestine. And 6,000 square miles of Jordan’s territory is the land of the Bible, the land of Israel.

Taking away traditional Israeli lands like Judea and Samaria, the land the Jordanians call the West Bank, is outrageous.  And it will not lead to peace.  It will lead to yet more war.

About the author: Howard Bloom of the Howard Bloom Institute has been called the Einstein, Newton, Darwin, and Freud of the 21st century by Britain’s Channel 4 TV. Bloom’s new book is The Case of the Sexual Cosmos: Everything You Know About Nature is Wrong. Says Harvard’s Ellen Langer of The Case of the Sexual Cosmos, Bloom “argues that we are not savaging the earth as some would have it, but instead are growing the cosmos. A fascinating read.” One of Bloom’s eight previous books–Global Brain—was the subject of a symposium thrown by the Office of the Secretary of Defense including representatives from the State Department, the Energy Department, DARPA, IBM, and MIT.  Bloom’s work has been published in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Psychology Today, and the Scientific American. Not to mention in scientific journals like Biosystems, New Ideas in Psychology, and PhysicaPlus. He has appeared over forty times on Saudi Arabian and Iranian TV.  Says Joseph Chilton Pearce, author of Evolution’s End and The Crack in the Cosmic Egg, “I have finished Howard Bloom’s [first two] books, The Lucifer Principle and Global Brain, in that order, and am seriously awed, near overwhelmed by the magnitude of what he has done. I never expected to see, in any form, from any sector, such an accomplishment.  I doubt there is a stronger intellect than Bloom’s on the planet.”   For more, see http://howardbloom.net or http://howardbloom.institute
