Kamala Harris Repeatedly Asked By ’60 Minutes’ If Biden-Harris Admin Was Too Soft On Border – She Can’t Answer

Kamala Harris, in a train wreck of an interview with 60 Minutes, was asked three times if she felt the Biden-Harris administration had been too soft on the border. She couldn’t answer.

While most viewers probably knew the question to be rhetorical and the only proper answer to be, ‘Yes, yes we were too soft on the border,’ Harris couldn’t bring herself to admit their failures.

The Democrat nominee’s exchange with CBS News’ Bill Whitaker was somewhat tense, somewhat absurd, and all-around embarrassing.

“I’ve been covering the border for years, and so I know this is not a problem that started with your administration,” Whitaker said. “But there was an historic flood of undocumented immigrants coming across the border the first three years of your administration. As a matter of fact, arrivals quadrupled from the last year of President Trump.”

“Was it a mistake to loosen the immigration policies as much as you did?”

“It’s a long-standing problem, and solutions are at hand, and from day one, literally, we have been offering solutions,” Harris responded without offering solutions.

Kamala Harris’ Embarrassing Response On The Border

Whitaker did his best to get Kamala Harris to take some accountability for the ongoing disaster at the border. Which is saying something for the folks over at 60 Minutes.

In fact, he tried to get Harris to basically admit to allowing a flood of illegal aliens to enter the country.

“What I was asking was, was it a mistake to kind of allow that flood to happen in the first place?” he asked.

“I think the policies that we have been proposing are about fixing a problem, not promoting a problem, okay,” Harris replied.

What does that even mean? Does anybody know? And her policies did promote the problem. She can’t rewrite history and pretend she’s been trying to fix things all along.

Whitaker continued, reiterating that the number of illegal aliens has quadrupled since she and Biden took office.

“But the numbers did quadruple under your watch,” Whitaker replied.

“And the numbers today because of what we have done, we have cut the flow of illegal immigration by half,” Harris fought back. “We have cut the flow of fentanyl by half, but we need Congress to be able to act, to actually fix the problem.”

🚨Wow. 60 Minutes mildly pressed Kamala Harris on why she opened the southern border and then waited 3.5 years to reverse course, and she completely melted down in response. Kamala is not ready for primetime:

    Fuzzy Math

Of course, none of that is vaguely encouraging. And it uses the same basic mathematical formula that Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have used all along.

    It’s called fudging the numbers.

Just like with the job numbers – they take away 10 million jobs due to COVID, then replace them and say they “created” millions of jobs. Just like with wages – they say your paycheck has increased but inflation causes that to be useless, making real wages significantly lower.

Now, they “quadruple” border crossings, and when they tighten up restrictions heading into an election season they brag about cutting it “by half.”

Think about the very literal math she just gave you. Whitaker says border crossings have “quadrupled”. Kamala Harris says they’ve cut them “by half.” That means they’ve still doubled.

But you, the American voter, are supposed to be happy with that.

Three times 60 Minutes gave her a chance to answer a simple question. And three times she just couldn’t do it. At least Joe Biden could effectively lie about the state of affairs. Now the Democrats are pivoting to somebody so intellectually handcuffed that she can’t make things up to appease her media cohorts.

A poll in August showed that a vast majority of voters blame Kamala Harris for the border crisis and expect it to get worse if she is elected.

    It will get drasticallly worse.
