Pence Throws Trump Completely Under the Bus After Midterms

Pence Throws Trump Completely Under the Bus After Midterms

Former Vice President Mike Pence seems to be, in his own, always polite way, taking the gloves off.

He recently sat down with ABC News “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir, and showed a side to voters that they may not have seen before.

Of course, the events of January 6, 2021 came up. While Pence has consistently stated how horrible the events that day were for the country, and that he was acting in accordance with the Constitution, his comments about former President Donald Trump were somewhat new.

Pence was more than happy to give the media the red meat they wanted when it comes to Donald Trump and Jan. 6.

Muir takes Pence back to that day with his question saying, “Members were barricaded in the House Chamber. And in the middle of it all, you can see what the President has tweeted. 2:24p.m., the President tweets, ‘Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done.’”

Pence gave a dramatic pause and said, “It angered me. I turned to my daughter, who was standing nearby, and I said, ‘It doesn’t take courage to break the law. It takes courage to uphold the law.’”

    But it got worse.

Attention Mike Pence: President Trump selected you as his Vice-President, Now you throw him under the bus. SHAMEFUL.

    Pence Not Done Yet

Mike Pence was not done yet. He gave an opinion on Trump’s actions that day that may have not been heard before. He said, “I mean, the president’s words were reckless. It was clear he decided to be part of the problem.”

To complete the bus-throwing, Pence claimed of Trump, “The president’s words were reckless and his actions were reckless. The president’s words that day at the rally endangered me and my family and everyone at the Capitol building.”

Pence’s timing is interesting. Last week prior to the election, Trump stated that he would be making a “big announcement” on Tuesday, November 15. Pence’s memoir, “So Help Me God,” is also scheduled for release on Tuesday.

Mike Pence has been a name that has been tossed around for the Republican nomination for president in 2024. But after the ABC interview, he might just want to think about retiring to Indiana.

Back in August, about a week after the FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, Pence spoke at an event, where he stated that he was “troubled” by what he called the “politicization” of the FBI, he also scolded Republicans who had called for defunding the FBI after the raid.

He equated the GOP’s call to defund the FBI to Democrats’ call to defund the police.

Mike Pence: “Donald Trump endangered me and my family and everyone at the Capitol building.”

Pence Not On Board With ‘America First’

In October, during an appearance at Georgetown University, Pence also took a swipe at America First, saying:

“Now, I know there is a rising chorus in our party, including some new voices to our movement, who would have us disengaged with the wider world. But appeasement has never worked, ever, in history. And now more than ever, we need a conservative movement committed to America’s role as leader of the free world and as a vanguard of American values. As Russia continues its unconscionable war of aggression to Ukraine, I believe that conservatives must make it clear that Putin must stop and Putin will pay.”

As Mike Pence slowly slips into the Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney wing of the Republican Party, maybe there are a few who might like an answer to this question. It was well known weeks before Jan. 6 that challenges to the election were imminent.

Election challenges are perfectly legal, and the process is plainly laid out in The Electoral Count Act of 1887. Pence surely knew that this process was more than likely on the horizon. Why did he not prepare himself on exactly what his legal and constitutional duties as Vice President would be in the event of such challenges occurring?

Is it fair to say that not doing so was reckless and cowardly? Was Mike Pence too afraid to rock the uniparty boat? Did he just want to get it over with? We will never know. What we do know is that, in light of the results of the midterm elections, a “nice” guy like Mike Pence is the last thing we need.

MIKE PENCE has no Guts, is timid and weak, cares more about what the SWAMP says about him than the Constitution. SURROUNDED by never-TRUMPERS. Enjoy INDIANA!
