Trump: Democrats Must ‘Have Something Really Big’ On Mitch McConnell

Trump: Democrats Must ‘Have Something Really Big’ On Mitch McConnell

Donald Trump insinuated that the Democrats must have some compromising information on Mitch McConnell after the Senate Minority Leader voted in favor of a massive $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill.

Trump made the comments in multiple posts on his Truth Social media platform.

“The Marxist Democrats must have something really big on Mitch McConnell in order to get him and some of his friendly ‘Republican’ Senators to pass the horrendous ‘All Democrat, All the Way’ OMINOUS Bill,” he wrote.

The former President also notes that the bill “gives Border Security to other countries,” but does little for the United States border, and “funds the corrupt ‘Justice’ Department” which he claims “rigged” the 2020 presidential election.

Trump: Democrats Have Something Big on McConnell

In another post, Trump reiterated the suggestion that Mitch McConnell was being blackmailed by the Democrats.

“They must have something on McConnell, because what he is doing is unthinkable—a Democrat’s dream!” he wrote.

Later he added, “If the Old Crow waited just 10 days, the Republican Majority in the House could have made the ‘Ominous’ Bill MUCH, MUCH, MUCH BETTER.”

“Just another win for the Democrats, Mitch, that wouldn’t have happened if ‘Trump’ were President!”

The Political Insider reported previously that the omnibus spending spree was passed within days of Republicans taking control of the House, abdicating the power of the purse for the GOP until September of 2023.

The bill includes, among other things, an overhaul of the Electoral Count Act to prevent another situation like what happened on January 6th, along with nearly $45 billion in aid to Ukraine.

They can never talk about border security ever again.

Congress has given over $110 billion to protect Ukraine’s border and refused to give more than $1.3 billion to secure the US border just four years ago because tRuMp Is a rAcISt…

As reported by The Political Insider’s Kathleen Anderson, the bill prohibits funds given to the Customs and Border Patrol to “acquire, maintain or extend border security technology and capabilities.”

“You’d think Republicans, at a minimum, would be outraged by this,” she writes.

Not Mitch McConnell though. No, the top priority in his mind is Ukraine, not America.

“Providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the No. 1 priority for the United States right now, according to most Republicans,” McConnell falsely stated.

Deroy Murdock of the Daily Caller News Foundation contends that McConnell, who he describes as Chuck Schumer’s “hillbilly rent boy,” is “helping Democrats castrate House Republicans for 10 months.”

    It wasn’t McConnell’s shame alone.

    McConnell Delivers His Own Digs

Mitch McConnell has grown rather brazen in his own remarks towards Donald Trump ever since the midterm election results. Results which gave GOP swamp creatures a feeling that the former President’s power had weakened due to the results.

“Here’s what I think has changed: I think the former president’s political clout has diminished,” McConnell told NBC News last week.

That, in his view, seems to suggest he must now capitulate to the Democrats. It’s a mindset of a political loser who has been beaten down and defeated so regularly that he’s willing to bend the knee at the first sign of trouble.

And that is a man who no longer belongs in leadership.

After selling out the GOP and the country with the omnibus spending bill, McConnell tells NBC his goal is to takeover the GOPhttps://t.co/U00TDhDvHI

    — Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) December 24, 2022

Prior to that, McConnell celebrated the January 6 select committee announcement of criminal referrals made against Trump.

“The entire nation knows who is responsible for that day,” he wrote in a statement following the news.

There is a pattern here. A pattern suggesting McConnell is gravitating to the Liz Cheney/Adam Kinzinger wing of the Republican party. That is to say, he’s barely a Republican at all.

Statement from Leader McConnell per @jackturmanIII

“The entire nation knows who is responsible for that day. Beyond that, I don’t have any immediate observations.”

    — Robert Costa (@costareports) December 19, 2022

The feud between Trump and McConnell has been ongoing for some time, but is set to become an all-out brawl at some point soon.

Trump has described Mitch as an “absolute loser” who has been giving Democrats “everything they want” and pressed the GOP to oust the Republican leader.
