U.S. Border Takes Another Hit As Biden Admin Ends ‘Remain In Mexico’ Policy

U.S. Border Takes Another Hit As Biden Admin Ends ‘Remain In Mexico’ Policy

On Monday, the Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security announced that the “Remain in Mexico” immigration policy will be ended.

The Trump-era program, formally known as “Migrant Protection Protocols” (MPP), required those seeking asylum in the U.S. to stay on the Mexican side of the border while they wait for court decisions on their asylum applications.

The Biden administration is ending President Trump’s successful ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy.

This will only incentivize MORE illegal immigration and make the #BidenBorderCrisis WORSE!

    Back And Forth Policy

President Joe Biden suspended the program on his first day in office. Officials in several GOP-led states sued to force the Biden Administration to restart it, and the same judge who lifted Monday’s injunction, U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, then sided with red state officials.

However, on June 30, the Supreme Court reversed the lower court decision and ruled that the Biden administration did have the authority to end the program. And on Monday, Judge Kacsmaryk lifted an injunction that prevented the Biden administration from ending the program.

DHS released a statement about the move that read in part, “As Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas has said, MPP has endemic flaws, imposes unjustifiable human costs, and pulls resources and personnel away from other priority efforts to secure our border.”

Exactly what those other efforts are, many Americans would like to know.

The border is still being invaded and the Biden administration just removed Remain in Mexico (which they weren’t enforcing anyway). The cartels, China and those that hate America are thrilled.

Biden Adm. Not Getting All The Wins

The state of Texas and those who continue to fight for border security are getting their share of court rulings in their favor. In June, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito denied a request from the Biden administration to issue a stay in a lower court ruling that favored Texas.

The issue surrounding the court battle is whether DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas can amend any enforcement of federal immigration law regarding deportation by way of issuing memorandums and directives.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry sued, saying that such actions violate federal laws established by Congress.

While the FBI raided President Trump, Biden just raided the border.

Remain in Mexico is officially over and our border is now more open than any time in this “Presidency”.

Border Communities Doing What They Have To Do

In July, Parker and Atascosa County became the seventh and eighth Texas counties to declare an invasion in the Lone Star state.

Atascosa County Commissioner Stuart Knowlton cited such things as high speed chases and property damage, also citing roughly 75 incidents of crimes being committed by foreign nationals. Illegal crossings for June totaled 207,416.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has begun sending busloads of immigrants to so-called ‘sanctuary cities’ like Washington D.C. and New York City. The mayors of those cities, Muriel Bowser and Eric Adams, have requested help in processing the migrants. Bowser called it a “humanitarian crisis.”

As even more immigrants pour into the country as the “Remain in Mexico” policy is ended, Mayor Bowser might want to gear up for more new Washington D.C. citizens who will be arriving.

Biden calls time of death on Remain in Mexico the same week his DOJ conducts a politically motivated raid of a former president.

It’s clear as day: America is less safe under President Biden.
