It’s been five years since Whoopi Goldberg and Judge Jeanine Pirro had an epic fight with one another on live TV on the ABC talk show “The View,” but it’s clear that there is still no love lost between them.

Goldberg Throws Shade At Pirro
Entertainment Weekly reported that Goldberg took a shot at Pirro on “The View” on Thursday during a segment about Geraldo Rivera leaving the Fox News show “The Five” over “growing tension.”
“Jeanine Pirro’s on the show,” co-host Sunny Hostin said.
“I don’t care,” Goldberg bluntly replied, leading the leftwing audience to burst out laughing.

Pirro And Goldberg’s Fight
During a 2018 episode of “The View,” Pirro and Goldberg got into a screaming match on-air when the former accused the latter of having an extreme bias when it comes to then-President Donald Trump.
“You suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Pirro said to Goldberg during the fight.
“Let me tell you what I have,” Goldberg responded. “I’m tired of people starting a conversation with ‘Mexicans are liars and rapists.’ I’m 62 years old. There have been a lot of people in office that I didn’t agree with. But I have never, ever seen anything like this. I have never seen anybody whip up such hate. I have never seen anybody be so dismissive.”
“Clearly, you don’t watch the show, so you don’t know that I don’t suffer from that,” she added. “What I suffer from is the inability to figure out how to fix this.”

The fight only escalated from there before Goldberg abruptly ended the segment.
“What is horrible is when the president of the United States whips up people to beat the hell out of people. Say goodbye! Goodbye! I’m done!” Goldberg screamed before ending the segment.

Fight Gets Worse Off-Camera
Pirro and Goldberg both later revealed that the fight then spilled over to backstage.
“Whoopi got angry, and what the viewing audience didn’t see was they popped up the cover of my book and (after cutting to commercial) she pushed off the desk, unplugged her mic and stormed off the set,” Pirro said, according to USA Today. “I’m there saying… ‘I don’t think the segment’s over’… So I take off my own mic, and… go down the stairs and she’s right there.”
“I said something like, ‘Whoopi, you know I spent my whole life fighting for victims,’ because we had talked about rapes and all that,” she continued. “And she said to me — she got up in my face… she said ‘(expletive) you, (expletive) you.’”
Pirro went on to deny provoking Goldberg.
“You can ask the people I was with. She was nuts going off the set, and then… as I started walking out the building, this woman is yelling behind me, ‘get the (expletive) out of this building,’” she said. “I’ve been a judge and prosecutor for 30 years, I can go toe-to-toe with anybody. But that was abuse. It was a sad moment. She was triggered and I never understood triggering.”

Goldberg Fires Back
Goldberg fired back on the next episode of “The View.”
“There’s a lot of spin that she’s doing, and I can’t do anything about that, but I can tell you what went on,” she said. “She was upset when she got here because Ana Navarro was here instead of Joy (Behar). And after the segment, which ended when it was supposed to — it was not early, it was not late. She then called everybody at the table a name I cannot repeat on TV and said it in front of the audience.”
“When I came off stage, I went over there because I was a little hot. She came off, she could have just passed me. She didn’t need to stop, but she stopped,” she added. “She put a finger in my face, and yelled, ‘I’ve done more for victims than you ever will.’ Then I said some few choice words that I cannot repeat. Yes, I did say it. But I did not spit on her, I did not intimidate her, no one chased her out of here saying ‘get out.’ But she did leave here cursing at the people who booked the show, cursed at the guys who do security for the show.”
.@WhoopiGoldberg clears up what happened after our Jeanine Pirro interview: “I rarely get stirred up — but I got stirred up…and I did apologize for getting hot.”

Goldberg’s Update On Pirro
The next year, Goldberg gave an update about Pirro and whether she’d ever come back on “The View.”
“I’ve not spoken to Jeanine. There’s no reason to,” Goldberg said in 2019. “If there’s something that’s intelligent that she has to bring to the show, I’m sure they will book her. I don’t book the show, I work there. I get a very interesting paycheck.”

There is clearly no love lost between Goldberg and Pirro. In the years since their fight, Goldberg has only shown that she does indeed have Trump Derangement Syndrome, so Pirro is better off without her.
