    ‘Wonder Years’ Star Danica McKellar Praises Candace Cameron Bure For Helping Her Find God


    Danica McKellar, who rose to fame playing Winnie Cooper on “The Wonder Years” in the 1980s, is speaking out this week to credit the former “Full House” star Candace Cameron Bure with helping her to find God.

    McKellar Thanks Cameron Bure For Helping Her Find God

    McKellar, 48, explained in a new interview that her strong Christian faith is something that she found later in life.

    “I would not say I’ve embraced religion so much as relationship. I’ve found my faith, and it’s been an amazing life changer,” McKellar told Fox News. “I have this sense that everything’s going to be fine in a way that I never really had before.”

    “I am so grateful to Candace Cameron Bure for bringing me into this era of my life. She really had a lot to do with it,” she added. “Also my dad. He’s been a believer for a long time. It’s just been a beautiful, beautiful gift, and it feels so good, and I want everyone to have that feeling.”

    ‘Like A Revolution In My Life’

    McKellar previously opened up about this while appearing on Cameron Bure’s podcast back in December.

    “Candace, I don’t wanna brush over the huge, huge impact that you’ve had on my life this year,” McKellar said, according to CBN News. “I don’t even know how to call that like friendship, it’s more than that. Because of you helping me to find my relationship with God and Jesus, it’s been like a revolution in my life. It’s been a revelation in my life.”

    “You gave me this Bible that I read all the time and I love it so much and I go to church now and I just, I talk to Jesus all the time every day. It’s unbelievable,” she continued. “And you were like my guide. You were just an angel in my life and you still are. And I just wanna thank you for that publicly.”

    McKellar went on to say that Cameron Bure has inspired her to try and help others find God.

    “I want people to feel the joy that I have found this year,” she explained. “I want people to feel that and I want them to not feel alone. I want them to feel the Holy Spirit with them and feel that support and love and comfort.”

    “That’s my wish right along with you,” Cameron Bure replied. “Thank you for sharing your journey of faith and I’m in prayer alongside you always and encouraging you to share that because there are moments of hope for people and you don’t have to have it all together or know all the answers. You just have to take one step every day. I just love seeing it and I’m just cheering you on along the way.”

    McKellar Moves To Tennessee 

    McKellar’s journey to God coincided with her moving to Tennessee last year, and she couldn’t be happier there.

    “Tennessee is a total quality of life improvement. It’s gorgeous, I love the seasons,” she gushed. “I grew up in Southern California and I love L.A., and I love California. But I have to say, the seasons are really something else.”

    “I love watching the leaves change colors, and I love it when it gets cold. And I love when it’s really hot, humid,” she added. “Maybe it’s some sort of honeymoon period. I’ve been there about a year now, but I love all the seasons.”

    We’re so happy for McKellar that she finally found God thanks in part to her good friend Cameron Bure. In the end, it’s better late than never, and we wish her many years of happiness in faith to come!
