College Student Creates Amazing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild-Inspired Animation, Called ‘Shield Bash’
College student Jordan LeBlanc created an amazing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild-inspired animation, called ‘Shield Bash’, and it’s worthy of full-length feature. It was actually made for a sophomore film project and depicts Link and Zelda fighting over weapons in a library-like setting that is properly themed to what you’d see at a location in-game.

This animation was allegedly rendered in Maya, while the music is by Jeff Brice and all of the character assets were created by Christopher Schoch. One thing is for sure, even if this were turned into a full-length feature fan project, it most likely wouldn’t cost as much as this $870,000 The Legend of Zelda NES game. What would it take to make a live-action The Legend of Zelda film? Well, there are a few things we can name off the top of our head, including a full orchestra soundtrack, proper combat choreography, and a magical atmosphere, whether it be CGI or a real-life location.

My animations are mostly made to show off my animation ability, so that way I can get an internship or job at a studio after university. It’s at a studio where I can work on non-derivative work, because coworkers would be supplying me what I need to do my part of the animation pipeline. Hope that sheds some light on it!,” said LeBlanc.
