Ghost Adventures fans have been anticipating the new season of the show for a while now. Many became excited when the April 16 premiere date was announced. However, their excitement quickly shifted to disappointment when they realized the season had been shortened. Could this be the beginning of the end for the beloved paranormal show? Keep reading to find out what is known.
Is Ghost Adventures Being Canceled After New Season?
Many fans were disappointed to learn that the upcoming season of Ghost Adventures has been shortened. The April 16 premiere is being considered a two-hour special in which the crew will investigate the famous Poltergeist featured in the classic films.
Aside from the two-hour premiere, there looks to be only five additional episodes in the new season. Since there are so few episodes and the investigation locations are only in California and Nevada, many fear the show could be ending.
Fans have discussed the possibilities on various social media platforms. Some fans noted that they feel the show is trying to promote the spin-off House Calls. Others have noted that the Discovery Channel appears to slowly be eliminating all paranormal investigation shows. One of the most recent to go off the air is Ghost Hunters.

Fans are speculating but is Ghost Adventures really ending? Many have already spoken about future seasons with everyone wondering if Aaron Goodwin’s wife plotting to kill him will be discussed. He found out about her arrest and plans while filming a new episode so there were cameras there to capture the moment.
The crew has been filming recently as they have shared this information on social media. Chances are fans have not seen the last of Zak Bagans, Billy Tolley, Aaron Goodwin, and Jay Wasley. The show continues to be popular among paranormal enthusiasts.
What Can Fans Expect In New Season?
When Ghost Adventures kicks-off the new season on April 16 fans are in for an exciting treat. The two-hour premiere will be Zak and the crew investigating the famous Poltergeist house.
Prior to investigating the house, the new owner revealed to Zak Bagans that he had suffered from two dizzy spells while inside the house. On top of that, he became nauseous, had a bad feeling and needed to sit down on the staircase to feel normal again.
Others have said multiple people have died inside the cursed house. TV Insider shared a statement from Bagans in which he said of the upcoming season,
“The investigations this season are iconic, highly charged and very personal. These locations have a dark energy rooted by their deep history – including a place I’ve always dreamed of exploring: the Poltergeist House. Incorporating special guest investigators and new investigative tactics stirred up a frenzy of compelling paranormal activity that we can’t wait to share – including mind-blowing photographic evidence unlike anything we’ve captured before.”
Fans are excited to see this iconic first investigation of the season. The Ghost Adventures crew remains one of the first paranormal teams to investigate inside the iconic house.
What do you think about the new season being shorter? Do you think it’s the beginning of the end?
Ghost Adventures Season 29 premiere will be on April 16, 10/9c, on the Discovery Channel.
