WCTH Alum John Reardon Reveals Cancer Battle
On Monday, When Calls The Heart alum John Reardon went to Instagram to share some news. The Believe In Christmas star revealed that he has been battling tonsil cancer.” Along with this announcement, the 49-year-old shared two photos of himself. One was during his battle, while the second of him now.
Last night was my first night out after my recovery from tonsil cancer. Has been a long road between these two pictures and the difference is from the love and support I received from my people in my life.
Next, the Hudson & Rex star began to list all of those who helped him in this difficult journey. He began with his wife and “partner,” Chesapeake Shores alum Meghan Ory, “for taking on our whole world to help me get better.”
Then, he thanked his “brave” children, who “inspired” him. However, his difficult battle became clearer when he spoke about his father, who “took me for a walk everyday even when it was hard for me to get out of bed.” John acknowledged that it had to be hard for his father to see him so ill. He continued with his mother who fed him, and sister who helped out with childcare. Lastly, he acknowledged all of the family members, nanny, doctors, and all of the healthcare workers who helped him to get to this point.
John Reardon ended his statement with a very heartfelt statement. “Kindness is an under appreciated quality in people. We should never under value it. Celebrate it and distribute it as much as possible. It is free and life changing. Happy Holidays 🫶🏻”
