The Trump administration has been at odds with The View hosts for years. The daytime talk show hosts often criticize the President and his policies. The White House has clapped back in the past by calling Joy Behar an “untalented hack” and describing the other hosts as “dumb” or “idiots.”
So, viewers were expecting tempers to flare immediately when Vice President JD Vance joined the table on Tuesday, June 16. But things were surprisingly calm. Despite a few flareups, they got through the interview, where the Vice President promoted his new memoir, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.
Meghan McCain Blasts Former Co-Hosts For ‘Sh*tty’ Interview
JD Vance thought the interview went well. But Meghan McCain couldn’t disagree more. She took to Twitter to rant about the performance of her former co-hosts. She was a co-host on The View for four seasons before leaving in 2021. She’s had a vendetta against the show ever since. She recently called out ABC for hiring Alyssa Farah Griffin as the show’s conservative voice.
Despite her disdain for her former co-hosts, Meghan McCain was among the millions watching the unexpected interview. She took to social media with a nasty takeaway about it. She praised JD Vance for handling it “very well.” However, she took her former co-hosts to task in an expletive-filled rant.
“My biggest takeaway from Vance on The View is honestly how sh*tty and undisciplined the hosts STILL ARE. After all these years they still get basics facts wrong, flub easy questions and can’t get through a segment without yelling at each other,” she wrote on Twitter.
