What To Know
- The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Luke Daley was recently arrested on unrelated charges to Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.
- Both Daley and his attorney have publicly denied any involvement or knowledge regarding Nancy Guthrie’s abduction.
- No suspects have been named in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance eight months after her abduction.
Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mother, Nancy Guthrie, remains missing more than eight months after she was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, home — and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department is speaking out after the arrest of a man, Luke Daley.
On October 6, Fox News Digital shared a statement from the PCSD after Daley, 37, was arrested in late September.
“Luke Daley was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on September 30, 2026,” a PCSD spokesperson confirmed. However, they clarified, “This is unrelated to the Nancy Guthrie case.”
On February 13, police pulled over Daley in a Culver’s parking lot and raided his mother’s home just two weeks after Nancy, 84, went missing. Daley’s mom’s home is approximately 2 miles away from Nancy’s Catalina Foothills neighborhood.
Although Daley has a criminal record, including felony convictions, he was released hours later without charges.
In a February statement, Daley’s attorney, Chris Scileppi, noted, “Mr. Daley has no link whatsoever to Nancy Guthrie and has no information related to her kidnapping. Like the entire Tucson community, both Mr. Daley and his mother are hopeful that Nancy will be returned to her family unharmed.”
Daley also spoke out about his detainment in a March interview with True Crime Arizona, refuting online speculation about his connection to “Porch Guy.” (The FBI released chilling images from a doorbell camera showing a masked man on Nancy’s front porch.)
“It’s not me. I don’t see the resemblance of it looking like me. Absolutely not. I have nothing to do with this case,” Daley said. “Someone says something, and then they just go off of it based on no evidence, no truth.”
Nancy was last seen at her Tucson home on the evening of January 31. As of writing, no suspect has been named in her disappearance, despite Savannah offering $1 million in addition to other reward money.
