Amid Phaedra Parks’ return to the Real Housewives franchise, The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans are petitioning for her return to the show.
Phaedra Parks has been making waves amid her return to the Real Housewives, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans are ready for her return. Phaedra’s casting on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2 and the premiere season of The Real Housewives of Dubai has received rave reviews. Viewers can’t get enough of Phaedra’s comical commentary and lighthearted shade. Considering the low blows being exchanged on RHOA season 14, viewers could use a lot of what Phaedra brings to any show she’s cast on.
It’s been five seasons since Phaedra was ousted from RHOA season 9 after telling a scathing lie about longtime housewife Kandi Burruss. The seriousness of her allegations resulted in her termination from the cast. Phaedra is still the only housewife in history to get fired for lying about another cast member. Since her exit, Kandi has vowed to never film with her again, and Phaedra has vowed not to return. Instead of picking back up her peach, Phaedra has started traveling out to Dubai, building connections with the newest cast of housewives. She also spent time at Dorinda Medley’s Blue Stone Manor with a mashup of housewives across different franchises.
Amid Phaedra’s appearances on RHUGT and RHODubai, fans are calling for her return to RHOA. The Twitter account The Real Housewives Polls posed a question asking supporters if they’re ready for Phaedra’s comeback to the franchise she started on. One user expressed how “good” it would be to have Phaedra back on RHOA. Another said they would start watching the franchise again should Phaedra return. “All my favs kept leaving, so I stopped. But, I’d return for Phaedra,” they added. There were a number of mixed responses from fans who would be open to Phaedra’s return only if she sat down with Kandi first. Viewers have been anticipating a possible truce between the enemies since their fallout in season 9.
There have been discussions about Phaedra possibly joining the newest franchise in Dubai, and there are several fans who think it would be a good idea. “I have [sic] feeling we’ll be seeing more of ms Parks on #RHODubai she would fit in better rather than her going back to #RHOA just saying,” one user wrote. There was another fan who completely shut down the idea of Phaedra returning to RHOA since she didn’t attempt to clear her name while filming RHUGT. “It’s a no for me,” one user said. “She had an opportunity on RHUGT2 to share about her departure and apologize or even just acknowledge what she did to Kandi and she wouldn’t. Pass.”
Fans were looking forward to seeing Phaedra address the scandal during RHUGT season 2. It was the perfect opportunity as the spin-off allows for alums to clear the air on past scandals and showdowns. Instead, Phaedra noted how there were two sides to the story and left it at that. Should Phaedra return to RHOA, she would have to confront the past scandal and deal with all the criticism from the rest of the cast. It’s likely why Phaedra has no interest in returning and has her sights set on Dubai. Why rehash old drama when you can create new frenemies in a new country? Phaedra is weighing her options.
