Karine Jean-Pierre was widely ridiculed on social media after making the wildly false claim that President Joe Biden has done more “than anybody else” to secure the border.
The White House press secretary made the comments on Thursday during a press briefing.
“The President has done more to secure the border to deal with this issue of immigration than anybody else. He really has!” she told reporters.
“June saw the single largest month-to-month drop in unlawful border crossings because of the policies this president put in place,” she added.
Jean-Pierre further suggested that Biden has been securing the border “on his own” because GOP lawmakers “keep turning it into a political stunt.”

Jean-Pierre Touts Biden’s Extraordinary Efforts At The Border
Perhaps the most extraordinary aspect of Jean-Pierre’s claim that Biden has done “more than anybody else” to secure the border is that she is just hours removed from explaining that the President couldn’t meet with New York Governor Kathy Hochul to discuss her illegal immigrant crisis because he “has a lot on his plate.”
Last week, Hochul sent a letter to Biden suggesting that he hadn’t been doing enough to aid with the influx of illegals in the Empire State.
“The challenges we face demand a much more vigorous federal response,” she wrote.

Additionally, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (R-NY) recently ran to the New York Times and warned that immigration is Biden’s “weakest issue.”
“Immigration is arguably this administration’s weakest issue,” said Ocasio-Cortez. “This is one area where our policy is dictated by politics, arguably more so than almost any other.”
With so many weak issues on Biden’s record, that is a startling admission.

Jean-Pierre Gets Nuked For Border Statements
Jean-Pierre was widely mocked for the statement that Biden has done “more than anybody” to secure the border on X, the social media platform previously known as Twitter.
New York Post columnist Miranda Devine declared that her comments won the “Gaslight Award of 2023.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me. The president has done more to IGNORE the border than anybody else,” wrote Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS).

Stephen Miller, contributing editor for the Spectator, marveled at how the media would have to contend with such a blatantly false statement and “cover for” Jean-Pierre.
“Every journalist under the sun knows this isn’t true. They have no idea how to handle this and cover for her or this admin on this,” Miller wrote.
“She gets up and says this, and right now in Blue States, they are screaming about migration emergencies,” he said. “She still gets away with it.”

Whatever recreational drugs Jean-Pierre is dabbling in have clearly clouded her mind.
The reality is that more than 7.2 million illegal immigrants have crossed the border since Biden took office, including at least 1.4 million “gotaways” who vanished into the country.
Additionally, at least 149 individuals on the terror watchlist have been arrested at ports of entry so far this fiscal year — a massive increase from the previous administration — as illegal drugs like fentanyl flow into the country at an alarming rate.
The Political Insider reported earlier this week that the FBI is struggling to “identify and assess” more than a dozen illegal immigrants after they crossed the southern border with the aid of a smuggler with ties to the terrorist group ISIS.
As for Jean-Pierre’s “month-to-month” claim, the Washington Post reported that “record numbers of migrant families streamed across the U.S.-Mexico border in August.”
If President Biden has done more than anybody else, we’d sure hate to see what the border would look like if he wasn’t working so hard.
