What to Wear This Weekend (and Every Weekend After)

We cover things we’re into and think you might be, too. If you purchase through an external link here, goop may earn a commission.

Weekend mornings tend to be either leisurely and lovely or straight-up hectic—there’s little in-between. It all depends on what time you wake up (or are woken up), how badly you need a coffee, what’s going on that day—you get it. There’s no need to add closet calculus to that equation. Our advice: Take cues from your calendar, leaning into easy silhouettes, unfussy fabrics, and a few low-effort but high-impact accessories that tie your whole look together.

    DINNER PLANS
Moody maxidress, knee-high boots, and jewelry: It’s a foolproof formula that works whether you’re hitting up a buzzy new restaurant downtown (don’t forget your coat) or hosting a few friends at your place (break out the fun placecard holders).

    SOCCER TOURNAMENT
Cheering on the sidelines calls for something comfortable, like a relaxed cotton jumpsuit and sneakers. Finish the look with strokes of gold and a bag that’s big enough for your shades, water bottle, and a container of orange slices for your favorite player.

    SEASONAL OUTINGS
Peeping leaves, picking apples, perusing the local pumpkin patch for stoop decorations—however you’re spending your days off, opt for cute, uncomplicated pieces that let you focus on the task at hand.

    DOWNTIME
Fact: Bingeing movies or curling up in a reading chair feels better in cashmere and velour. And light-catching extras (in the ears, on your pinkie) will make you feel put-together enough to greet the delivery guy at the door.
