Activist Group Paying Tipsters For Locations Of Conservative SCOTUS Justices To Harass Them In Public

This week a public protest of Justice Brett Kavanaugh at a Morton’s Steakhouse in DC made news, the harassment by protestors sent Kavanaugh through the rear exit, and it appears this behavior will continue.

ShutDownDC announced on Friday, following the Kavanaugh incident, that organizers would pay anyone who could tip protesters off to the locations of the conservative Supreme Court justices. According to the call for tips, the price increases if they were still on site 30 minutes later.

“DC Service Industry Workers… If you see Kavanaugh, Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Coney Barrett or Roberts DM us with the details! We’ll Venmo you $50 for a confirmed sighting and $200 if they’re still there 30 mins after your message,” @ShutDown_DC’s tweet read.

The group highlighted Kavanaugh’s disrupted dinner, sharing reports that noted, “Justice Brett Kavanaugh had to exit through the rear of Morton’s on Wednesday night after DC protestors showed up out front.”

The group shared Daniel Lippman’s report from Politico in their call for more harassment and protest of the Justices.

NEW: Justice Brett Kavanaugh had to exit through the rear of Morton’s on Wednesday night after DC protestors showed up out front. In grand fashion, the White House refused to condemn the actions and supported the efforts of those who disagreed with the conservative Justice’s opinions on Roe V Wade.

Doocy on Kavanaugh being forced out of a DC restaurant by protesters: “So these Justices, because protesters do not agree with an opinion… have no right to privacy?”

    — Daily Wire (@realDailyWire) July 8, 2022

During a press conference on Friday, when White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about it, she said it was a “right.”

When asked whether Biden and his administration had any issues with protesters continuing to harass the conservative justices outside their homes or in public, she said, “People should be allowed to be able to do that. If it’s outside of a restaurant, if it’s peaceful, for sure.”
