U.S. Congressman Andy Biggs has officially announced his candidacy for Arizona Governor in the 2026 midterm election.
Biggs previously indicated he was only considering a run for governor and “conversing with my fellow Arizonans.” The voters of Arizona have spoken, and it’s clear what he must now do.
The popular Representative from Arizona’s District 5 had a massive round of applause after asking the crowd at the Arizona GOP State Party Convention on Saturday, “We are just wondering if you think we should actually jump in formally into the Governor’s race. What do you think?”
He continued, “Thank you. So I have a little thing I wanted to tell you. I am jumping in formally in the race for governor in 2026.”
State Senator Jake Hoffman, who endorsed Biggs for Governor immediately after he filed a statement of interest, brought the crowd to their feet for Andy Biggs. The entire convention chanted “Biggs, Biggs, Biggs” after Hoffman said, “Let’s let the media hear what you all think of the great and fearless Andy Biggs as our next Governor.”
Before this, the convention erupted with loud boos for potential primary challenger RINO Karrin Taylor Robson when Hoffman said, “I’d like our friends in the media to know exactly how you all felt about the idea of Karrin Taylor Robson being our next governor.” Hoffman added, “That’s what we, the people, think about bought and paid for globalists.”
“Guys, history with Andy Biggs as our next governor of Arizona, we’ll experience a renaissance as well, unparalleled by anything we’ve seen in this state in our 113-year history. History will record this day and the courage that Andy Biggs had to answer the call, but it will also record whether we, too, have the courage to answer the call over the next 22 months and do what we just did for President Trump to make sure that Arizona is protected from the radical Marxist agenda of the Left,” Hoffman said.

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Saturday, Biggs will likely face RINO Karrin Taylor Robson. Robson has not filed to run for Governor, but the Arizona Swamp has already formed a PAC to support her.
However, Biggs is a clear favorite among Arizona Republicans, and early polls show him leading Karrin Taylor Robson by nearly 20 points in a hypothetical Primary matchup.
As The Gateway Pundit readers know, Karrin Taylor Robson is a failed 2022 gubernatorial candidate who ran against Trump-Endorsed Kari Lake and was endorsed by turncoat RINO Mike Pence and RINO former Governor Doug Ducey. After her loss, Robson called Trump a “drag on the Republican Party” shortly after he announced his reelection bid on November 15, 2022.
More recently, she held a fundraiser for RINO Chris Christie’s bid for President against Trump this past election cycle.
Robson further supported policies like discounted college tuition rates for illegal aliens, COVID lockdowns, and biological men in women’s restrooms and bundled donations for and donated to radical left Democrat Ruben Gallego. The Arizona Democratic Party even thanked Robson in 2022 for “her longtime financial support to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot.”
Still, President Trump, likely on bad advice, signaled that he would support Robson if she runs for Governor last month at Turning Point’s AmFest event in Phoenix, Arizona.
President Trump should endorse Andy Biggs, one of the most Conservative U.S. House members.
Fellow Arizona Republican and Trump-Endorsed House Representative Eli Crane endorsed Biggs Tuesday on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, stating, “He’s definitely the most qualified guy to do it.”

Crane: I think Andy is the most conservative and probably the strongest member of the U.S. House. He was also President of the Senate in Arizona. He knows Arizona. He knows how the system works better than anybody. I don’t think anybody would do a better job. You know, he has my full support, and I know he has the support of the War Room Posse… I hope he pulls the trigger and goes all the way through with it.
