Speaker Mike Johnson has been running around the country, appointing himself Trump’s co-president and trying to convince voters that a House majority that barely shows up for work deserves two more years in power.

Johnson has tried to scare voters with communism and socialism, threats of Trump being investigated, and seemingly everything else under the sun.
Mike Johnson will be given notice by the American people that he will be removed from his job as Speaker of the House in January 2027. Johnson has always appeared to be a Trump true believer, and not one of those Republicans who saddled up to Trump to benefit their career in the Republican Party.
Judging by a recent appearance on Fox News, Speaker Johnson is not handling his upcoming defeat well.
Johnson claimed that Democrats are going to investigate everything surrounding Trump:
But they also wanna go after, they wanna do lawfare on steroids, okay? So if this group took over, heaven forbid, they would turn every committee of Congress into an investigative body.
They’d spend every day investigating the president, the first family, the cabinet, you know, donors to the party, leaders in business and industry. It would roil the markets, and it would empower our enemies around the world at the worst possible time. We just simply can’t go down that road … and they’re running on those very things indeed.
Johnson was terrified that the House would do its job and conduct oversight if Democrats win the majority.
