Jack Osbourne Tells Celebs To Keep Out Of Politics

Jack Osbourne Tells Celebs To Keep Out Of Politics

Jack Osbourne has been part of various platforms over the years, from reality television to podcasts. However, he recently shared an interesting opinion about celebs who use their star power to talk politics. At the time, he and his mother were also on Capitol Hill for a special event.

Jack & Sharon Osbourne Were In Washington, D.C., To See Something They Felt Would Have Made Ozzy Proud

Jack is the son of late musician Ozzy Osbourne and television personality Sharon Osbourne. He became introduced to many through his family’s own reality series, The Osbournes, in the 2000s.

Since then, Jack has appeared in various programs and outlets, including Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie and Haunted Highway. He’s also hosted a number of podcasts, including Jack Osbourne’s The Most Haunted and Trying Not To Die.

However, Jack recently shared that there was one topic of discussion that he felt entertainers should avoid. Speaking with TMZ DC, he shared that stars should avoid politics and stick to entertaining.

As Jack phrased it, celebrities need to “make entertainment, entertain the people and shut the f*** up.” The outlet then asked him if stars with big platforms should use them to influence people. However, he felt that these people are in the wrong line of work. As he mused, people like this should “be a politician, don’t be an entertainer.”

Reportedly, Jack and his mother, Sharon, were on Capitol Hill because Indiana Rep. Victoria Spartz entered Ozzy Osbourne’s biography into the Congressional Record. They reportedly shared that they felt that Ozzy would have been honored by this.

When Asked About A Possible Job In Politics, Sharon Gave An Interesting Response

As the conversation continued, Jack and Sharon were also asked if they would ever be interested in joining the world of politics. Jack, in keeping with his previous statements, offered a simple, “No.”

However, Sharon gave an interesting response. When asked this question, she simply lifted up her finger, as if to suggest she might be interested in a political career. However, when asked about what position she would take, she simply stated, “The rear,” while entering a car.

With TMZ sharing the story on social media, various commenters have weighed in on Jack’s comments. Many agreed that entertainers should remain apolitical, while others questioned the context. Some comments included:

      • “Jack is one million percent spot on.”
      • “BRO YOU’RE NOT EVEN FROM THIS COUNTRY.”
      • “Why should celebrities keep their mouths shut about politics, they pay taxes too.”
      • “Elvis Presley felt the same way about staying out of politics. Great idea!”
      • “He’s wrong. Art is always political.”
      • “Love jack for his honesty. Celebrities should mind their own business. I couldn’t care less what they have to say!”
      • “Facts, celebrities should not use their platform for political reasons.”
