Let me be honest with you. Almost every brand claiming to fight fast fashion is still running fifty-two drops a year with a permanent sale rail. Asket is the exception that actually did the maths. No seasons. No sales. No trends. Just one permanent collection of menswear essentials, refined version by version like software, with every garment’s full supply chain published for anyone to inspect.

Founded in Stockholm in 2015 by August Bard Bringeus and Jakob Dworsky, Asket set out to answer one question: how few garments does a man actually need, if every one of them is exactly right? A decade later, the answer hangs in their Brewer Street store in London and ships worldwide from asket.com. This is the pursuit of less, and these are the seven pieces to start with.

    About Asket

Everything Asket makes lives in the permanent collection, meaning the piece you buy today will still exist, improved, in five years. Garments are milled, cut and sewn almost entirely in traced European facilities, each one named and visited, and every product page discloses the full cost, resource and impact breakdown behind it. The sizing system is quietly the best in the business: most tops come in three lengths per size, trousers in proper waist and length combinations, so tall, short and everything between finally get a real fit. Old garments go back through the Revival programme for resale, and repair guides and spare parts keep everything else alive.

    Asket - The T-shirt

The garment the entire brand was built on, and still the best place to start.

Cut from a custom 100 percent organic long-staple cotton in a compact 180gsm midweight jersey, The T-Shirt has been in continuous refinement since 2015, milled, cut and sewn in Portugal by the same family-run factory that started the journey. The straight-cut silhouette comes in three lengths per size, which is the difference between a tee that fits and a tee that almost fits. Off White is the shade that works with everything else on this page.

Dense, structured and shape-retaining, it makes ordinary tees feel like an apology.

    Asket - The Pique Polo

The 1920s tennis shirt, rebuilt with Swedish patience.

In the permanent collection since 2016 and now several versions deep, The Pique Polo is knitted from a breezy 210gsm organic cotton pique in northern Portugal, finished with a perfectly balanced collar, a seamless French placket and tonal mother-of-pearl buttons. The straight cut and three-length sizing keep it sharp untucked over The Shorts or tucked into trousers for dinner.

In white, it is the cleanest thing you can wear between May and September.

    Asket - The Shorts

    Tailoring logic, holiday temperament.

Cut and sewn in Portugal from a lightweight, dry-handle 197gsm Italian organic cotton twill by TBM Tessuti, The Shorts run a mid-rise, regular cut ending above the knee, with a clean waistband, slanted front pockets and jetted back pockets. Two inseam lengths per size mean the hem lands where you want it, not where the brand decided.

In Beige, they anchor the entire summer rotation. Polo on top, swim shorts in the bag, done.

    Asket - The Swim Shorts

Ocean plastic, reborn as the smartest thing at the pool.

Woven from 100 percent recycled PET into a lightweight, fast-drying 130gsm fine twill, spun in Spain and cut and sewn in Portugal, The Swim Shorts behave more like tailored shorts than swimwear. Interior mesh, slanted side pockets and a zipped back pocket handle the practicalities, and the Dark Navy reads dressed even when soaking wet, which is precisely the point.

Rinse after each swim and they will outlast the holiday by years.

    Asket - The Slim Jean

The nerdiest denim story on the high street, hiding in plain sight.

The raw version of The Slim Jeans is cut from 13oz Japanese denim by heritage mill Kurabo: ring spun for a naturally uneven surface, rope dyed in a proprietary cold-water indigo process, woven on looms running entirely on solar power, then cut and sewn in Italy. The mid-rise, tapered slim fit is timeless rather than tight, and the raw fabric fades into a one-of-one record of your year.

Commit, wear, wait six months before washing. The result is worth it.

    Asket - The Loose Jeans

The modern silhouette, executed with old-world suppliers.

The Loose Jeans are a nearly all-Italian production: 13oz organic cotton denim milled by the iconic Candiani mill, cut, sewn and washed within Italy, finished with recycled metal buttons, traditional tan stitching and a button fly. The mid-rise, straight-cut loose leg is the shape menswear has settled on, and the Mid Blue Wash is its most versatile expression.

Worn with The T-Shirt and The Hoodie, this is the whole modern uniform in three garments.

    Asket - The Hoodie

The hoodie, stripped of everything that makes hoodies look lazy.

Cut from a custom 380gsm unbrushed organic cotton loopback, milled, cut and sewn in Portugal, The Hoodie deletes the pouch pocket entirely and spends the budget on a generously sized double-lined hood and brushed metal details. The result reads elevated rather than errand-run, and the three-length sizing keeps the hem and cuffs exactly where they should be.

Grey Melange is the definitive colour, over the tee, under a coat, eleven months a year.

    Final Thoughts

Asket’s pitch sounds like marketing until you read the receipts, literally, on every product page. One permanent collection, traced factories, three lengths per size, a take-back programme and garments engineered to be repurchased identically when they finally wear out. Take your usual size across the range, use the length options honestly, and build slowly. The whole point is that you will not need much.

Fewer, better, forever. It turns out that was the answer all along.
