Advocating for individual rights and autonomy in medical decision-making, Americans for Health Freedom, sent an open letter on September 18, 2026, to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and President Donald Trump.
The signatories are publicly opposing the policies overseen by Secretary Kennedy and President Trump concerning the mRNA platform. This technology utilizes synthetic messenger RNA encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles to direct human cells to generate specific proteins aimed at preventing or treating diseases, a process that many leading medical experts consider dangerous and potentially lethal when introduced to the human body.
The letter explicitly states that “while the centerpiece of the MAHA and health freedom agenda has been removal of mRNA shots, [Kennedy and Trump] have failed to take decisive action on this front despite overwhelming credible evidence to the harm of this technology. Instead, [their] policies related to mRNA technology are neutered and self-defeating, putting pregnant women and children at risk, misleading parents and eroding their rights, and failing to help those harmed by vaccines.”
The Gateway Pundit spoke to Nicolas Hulscher, MPH, an Epidemiologist and Foundation Administrator at the McCullough Foundation. He explained the letter contends that the existing federal measures have not met the objectives of the health-freedom movement and demands the elimination of mRNA/gene-therapy-based vaccine technologies, the revocation of the COVID-19 PREP Act declaration, the repeal of the PREP Act, the cessation of pharmaceutical advertising directed at consumers, and reforms to tackle conflicts of interest and coercive healthcare incentives.
Hulscher stated that “the individuals who signed represent a coalition of 168 doctors, scientists, researchers, health-freedom advocates, and public personalities—together amassing more than 63 million followers on social media.”
He concurred with the letter’s assertions, stating that information from various reputable sources—such as more than 4,550 peer-reviewed articles, the Pfizer documents disclosed through Aaron Siri’s legal cases, the VAERS and V-safe databases, and data from international governments—indicates alarming rates of deaths and severe injuries linked to the mRNA vaccines, along with reproductive damage, which includes an estimated 400 percent rise in miscarriage rates.
The COVID-19 shot administered to military personnel utilized the mRNA technology. According to a report by The Gateway Pundit on Tuesday, the recent declaration from retired Army flight surgeon Lt. Col. Theresa Long reveals that she has direct knowledge of over 29 service member fatalities following the COVID-19 shot.
Lt. Col. Long is currently reviewing approximately 55,000 adverse event reports related to the shot, which include 2,544 accounts of death, raising concerns among many regarding the potential link to the mRNA shots.
“In light of these serious concerns and the collective voice of the signatories,” Hulscher argued, “it is evident that the call for a reassessment of mRNA vaccine technologies and related policies is not just a matter of individual rights, but a pressing public health issue.” For him, the overwhelming evidence of adverse effects associated with mRNA vaccine underscores the urgency for authorities to prioritize transparency and safety in medical interventions.
As the dialogue continues, he said, it is crucial that policymakers heed the warnings of the medical and scientific community, ensuring that the health and well-being of all citizens, particularly the most vulnerable, remain at the forefront of decision-making processes.
In Hulscher’s opinion, “This moment serves as a pivotal opportunity for reevaluation and reform, one that could ultimately reshape the landscape of healthcare autonomy and medical safety in America.”
