Peter Krause reunited with two of his 9-1-1 cast members, Kenneth Choi and Ryan Guzman, following Captain Bobby Nash’s onscreen death.
On Friday, July 17, Choi (firefighter and paramedic Howie “Chimney” Han) took to Instagram with a post he captioned, “Peter Krause Ryan Guzman Stache Battle.”
For the clip, Guzman (Edmundo “Eddie” Diaz), 38, wore a ball cap and sunglasses as he said, “I like your mustache.” The camera then panned to Krause, 60, who also wore a ball cap and sunglasses. He echoed, “I like your mustache.”
That’s when the two men suddenly whipped off their sunglasses and stared at each other in a challenging manner.
In the comments, Choi joked, “Can you guess who won?”
Almost unanimously, fans declared Krause the mustache champion, with one Instagram user writing, “We’ve seen Ryan’s a lot, so my vote is Peter!”
Another insisted, “Peter, no question.”
Someone else pointed out, “Pretty sure we fans won.”
A different fan joked, “This is a sign that Bobby is alive, and Eddie’s mustache is returning.”
A different follower commented, “How do I make this about Bobby having a secret twin in s10 or a Shannon-like doppleganger. C’mon, Tim [Minear], I know you want to.”
Meanwhile, yet another fan lamented, “Peeeeeteeeeerrrrrr!!!!!! We Miss you soooooooo much!!!!!” alongside broken-heart emojis.
The playful 9-1-1 reunion came after Krause surprised fans with a video message at a convention after Bobby’s death. He played the beloved character in Seasons 1 through 8 of 9-1-1. Tragically, Bobby died in a heroic sacrifice halfway through Season 8; he saved his team while trapped in a biolab explosion with a fatal virus.
9-1-1 was renewed for Season 10 and will kick off this fall; a premiere date has not been announced, as of writing.
